10th March – Lister & Queens Square

We started the day by visiting Lister Hospital for Monty to have an ECG followed by having a 7 day ECG machine being fitted. It is a bit clunky and will constantly monitor Monty’s heart for the next 7 days – he isn’t thrilled by it.

We had time to pop to Waitrose to buy sushi for our lunch, and Monty was reading out labels of food that he saw, and was generally feeling happy about how he feels in comparison to our last trip to a supermarket (1 month ago).

When we got back to Danesbury for a physio session with Sarah she told us she had heard from Queens Square saying that she should be expecting an email from their admissions nurse. It’s unclear if that means the admission will happening in anytime from 1 week to 4 weeks, but sounds like its sooner than expected, and might not involved a further admissions assessment. Sounds like good news to us.

Monty’s own wheelchair arrived today as well, until today we have been using one provided by Danesbury, but this new one is ours to keep for as long as we need it.

Monty’s arm has continued to be more relaxed, so they have agreed to reduce the quantity of Baclofen down from 15mg 3 times a day, to 10mg 3 times a day – will see what difference this makes (Monty is sure it makes him feel tired & unwell).
