By Jane Menon After a busy and successful week at school (drama and Spanish exams this week) Maya was feeling overwhelmed on Friday morning, so I suggested she missed school and instead came into London with me as we both needed a pick me up. Maya hasn’t previously had the chance to visit Monty in London, so it was nice for her to see where he is hanging out most the time. We all went out for lunch and given the amazing weather it felt like a holiday. After lunch Maya watched some of a physio session and then went and did revision in the day room while Monty finished off and waited to be allowed to leave.
We received next weeks timetable which isn’t great, there is very little speech therapy on it, which is apparently due to staff shortages. Looks like I will spend a lot of next week in Queens Square making up for the lack of professional therapy.
